Our Mission
To create a well-integrated intercultural diverse community, where people are supported by working productively to meet desires and interests in a rapidly changing world. We stand with and advocate for migrants, refugees, and homelessness transforming communities through organizations of service and justice.

Our vision

UFVRA’s vision is a world in which internally displaced and refugee women, children, and youth:
An engaged, unified volunteer organization leading change. Which all internally displaced and refugee’s families, children, and youth are protected, embraced, and empowered in a world of just and welcoming communities.

Our-History 

United Federation Of Volunteers For Refugees Action (UFVRA) Inc., UFVRA was formed in May 2000 in Central Queensland. Our focus on welcoming Refugees & immigrants were entering the country and addressing recognized community needs to enhance community cohesion while developing a framework for community development by recognizing the value of diversity.

  • We are very sure that every human is gifted with a kind and charitable heart. We are keeping all efforts in welcoming such humans together to execute the alarming tasks efficiently and in time. We work as a team with the fullest involvement of individuals to reach the common goal of helping needy people. In one way, We directly deal with disadvantaged people and take necessary action or connect them to respective helpers,/., NGO’s donors to fulfill the tasks.

Our-Purpose 

  • To provide a safe and inclusive environment for new residents and their families to address cultural differences and practices.

  • To empower new residents and their families to interact confidently within the society.

  • To utilize new residents and their families' skills and expertise to deliver programs and services for other community members.

  • To connect new residents and their families to existing programs and services on the broader public.

  • To inform the community about new residents' cultural backgrounds to make the community more open and welcoming to new residents.

  • To retain refugees, migrants, and interstate workers in the region.

  • To help the refugees & migrant community to showcase their culture and customs to the broader Australian.

Our guiding principles

Our operating principles define how we do business. They drive our thinking, actions, processes and benchmarks. They keep us focused and remind us that we are committed to progress, but not at all costs.
