UFVRA – Australia was established in January 20014 and now provides thousands of personal support hours per week to hundreds of people with disability, acquired brain injury or neurological conditions by focusing on empowering and improving their lifestyles.

At UFVRA – Australia we provide experienced, quality services to people living with a disability within an in-home or community setting.  With a brilliant team across Sunshine Coast, Greater Brisbane, Ipswich and the Gold Coast, we are there to help our Participants to achieve their goals to live a fulfilling life. UFVRA – Australia continues to deliver supports by embracing the values of diligence, respect and innovation.

 

The Role

We are currently recruiting for skilled and enthusiastic Support Workers in the Brisbane city area.  These roles may include shifts such as days, evenings, awake shifts, sleepovers, weekend and short notice shifts so flexibility is a must.

As a Support Worker with UFVRA, you will be responsible for the individualised support requested by our Participants.  These supports may include: personal care, emotional support, domestic assistance, complex care, mental health and personal development of our Participants. You will provide a range of community access services to assist people with a disability to be actively involved in their local community.  UFVRA Support Workers will strive to make our Participants feel valued, respected and engage them in meaningful opportunities and relationships.

Skills and Experiences

  • Prior experience supporting clients with disabilities highly desirable

  • Relevant nationally recognised qualification highly desirable

  • Must have a driver’s licence and own reliable transport

  • Current Paid employee Blue Card (or willing to obtain before employment)

  • Current Paid employee Yellow Card/NDIS Worker Clearance (or willing to obtain before employment)

  • Current First Aid & CPR (or willing to obtain before employment)

  • NDIS ‘Worker Orientation’ module (or willing to obtain before employment)

  • COVID 19 Infection Control certificate (or willing to obtain before employment)

  • Full Australian working rights

  • Smart phone with internet access

  • Two current (within the past 2 years) professional references from a supervisor will be required

UFVRA – Australia uses an App. to assist Support Workers for reporting purposes. Your agreement and capacity to use the App to fulfil reporting obligations forms part of your employment conditions. The minimum compatibility requirements for Android is version 4.4 KitKat, and for iOS 9.0 (which is iPhone 5s or later). Please check that your phone has these minimum requirements prior to your application.
