Volunteer Cafe' All-rounder at Moorooka Homeless Link

About this opportunity

Moorooka Homeless Link mission is simple. We rescue food that would otherwise go to waste and cook it into free, nutritious meals for people in hardship. Our vision is for a society where food is not wasted and no one goes hungry.

We are expanding our volunteering program and now offering Monday evening volunteering running 6pm-9pm in addition to our regular morning, afternoon and evening shifts Monday to Friday.

Volunteering with us is a great way to create new friendships, add structure to your week and give back as part of something bigger.

We operates Australia’s Moorooka Homelesss Link kitchen cafe turning 5 tons of rescued food into 10,000 meals a week and over 1 million meals a year.

Our meals are given away for free to marginalised and disadvantaged individuals and families to help make a real and tangible difference to food insecurity in Queensland.
