Helping end homelessness
As part of our 2023 – 2025 strategy, we're focused on helping end homelessness in Queensland, Moorooka, and region by increasing the impact of our services and advocating alongside our sector partners. Here’s how we help:
With more than 7 years of experience, our Volunteers services provide vulnerable people with help to tackle the root causes of their challenges and enable them to participate fully in society. From employment and training to mental health recovery and rehabilitation services, we help break the cycle of homelessness.
UFVRA – Australia Housing
UFVRA - Australia Housing is a national Partners organisation with Community Housing Provider of social and affordable housing that works to deliver housing solutions in vibrant communities. With more than 100 social and affordable homes across NSW, Tasmania and Queensland, UFVRA - Australia Housing helps individuals move towards independence.
Research and advocacy
UFVR – Australia in partnership with national service providers, provides submissions to State and Federal Governments to advocate for more social and affordable housing. Our research findings also contribute to discussions about key and emerging issues relating to homelessness.
We works closely with other agencies on practice, research and policy solutions that help to end homelessness and support people in need to thrive. These include the End Street Sleeping Collaboration, the Constellation Project, Everybody’s Home and the Poverty and Inequality Partnership.
