Our Purpose

Our  purpose is to work with its members in advocating ,promoting the development of refugees and asylum seekers and their communities.  

In order to achieve this aim, UFVRA pursues the following Purpose:

  • To act as a advocacy organisation .

  • To promote the empowerment of refugee communities and individuals in Australia and internationally and support the capacity building of refugee and other disadvantage families.

  • To monitor, advocate and present information on issues relating to the needs and circumstances of refugees and asylum seekers.

  • To assist communities  to formulate policy and improve support and services for refugees and asylum seekers.

  • To strengthen humanity’s fight against poverty and social injustice.
