We love it when fantastic people in the UK do crazy and exciting things to help refugees! Below are some ideas for things you could do.

Hold a bake sale .click here>

Gather your friends, schoolmates or colleagues together for some tasty treats and raise some dough for our work supporting refugees and asylum seekers in the Globally. Download our online fundraising guide and donate your money you raise via JustGiving.

Run for refugees .click here>

Do something amazing today and sign up for a sponsored run, like the Great Runs. You will be helping some of the most persecuted and vulnerable people in the world with each step you take.

Get on your bike .click here>

Cycling is a great way to keep fit and raise money. Organise your own picturesque ride around your area or take part in one of the many cycling events around the country.

Take a walk.click here>

Why not set your own pace by organising a fundraising walk? Get neighbours and friends involved and do it somewhere that means something to you.  There are beautiful canal walks all around the country.  Find your nearest one and get walking for refugees.

Just keep swimming

Maybe you’re more comfortable in the water? Jump into your local pool or organise a lake, canal or channel swim.  It’s a fantastic way to raise awareness and do some fundraising at the same time!

Helping refugees at work couldn’t be easier.  You could

  • Put up a United Federation Of Volunteers For Refugee Action poster in your staff room
  • Hold a staff “dress down” day – or a staff dress up day!
  • Challenge your team to a bake-off and sell their creations
  • Use United Federation Of Volunteers For Refugee Action donation box in lieu of a swear jar
  • Organise a work sports day and run, jump or stumble your way to raising lots of cash
